📜 KHUTBAH: WELCOMING RAMADAN KAREEM
1. The Blessing of Ramadan
O Muslims! We are about to enter the blessed month of Ramadan, the month of mercy, forgiveness, and salvation from the Hellfire. It is the month in which the Quran was revealed, as Allah says:
"The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion."
This month is a great opportunity for us to renew our faith, seek forgiveness, and draw closer to Allah.
2. The Reward of Fasting
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Whoever fasts during Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, his past sins will be forgiven."
Fasting is not just about abstaining from food and drink, but it is a training for self-discipline, sincerity, and righteousness.
3. The Gates of Paradise Are Opened
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"When Ramadan begins, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained."
So let us take advantage of this blessed time by increasing in prayer, charity, recitation of the Quran, and seeking forgiveness.
4. The Night of Power (Laylatul Qadr)
One of the greatest blessings of Ramadan is Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Power. Allah says:
"The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months."
It is a night where worship and good deeds are multiplied immensely, and the angels descend with peace and mercy.
5. Advice to the Ummah
Dear brothers and sisters, let us welcome Ramadan with sincerity, repentance, and good intentions. Let us forgive each other, strengthen our family ties, and increase our worship.
May Allah grant us the ability to witness Ramadan, fast sincerely, and gain His mercy and forgiveness.
